Paper Abstract:      Nowadays, the demand of using library automation system in library management is dramatically increased. Very often, library automation system is a “stand-alone” application, lack of other supporting systems such as distributed system on resource sharing library collections, information retrieval system and so forth. The development of Digital Library at University of Indonesia uses an enterprise resource planning approach to integrate those systems into a Digital Library System. The Digital Library System is aiming not only will serve on campus students of University of Indonesia, but also will serve students off campus who will join University of Indonesia Distance Learning initiative. This paper describes design and implementation of the system which has characteristics of integrated functions of library automation, distributed digital library collection, and context-sensitive information retrieval technique as its search engine.
